ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
A multi-disciplinary artist, Lamb received her BFA at Colorado State University and has taught various forms of sculpting locally, nationally and internationally. She is a recent transplant to Baltimore, MD and her live/work studio is part of Artists Housing Inc. She has received numerous awards, and has had art displayed at Republic Plaza, various art venues around Colorado and is part of the collection of Kaiser Permanente, the City of Littleton, and RTD.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Specializing in enigmatic and thought provoking pieces, Michelle Lamb manipulates found objects, re-contextualizing them to fit uniquely unconventional narratives. Her meticulous remodifications cause these objects to appear integral to one another so they become an intriguing riddle for the viewer to identify. Lamb relishes deconstructing obsolete machinery for their insides and vintage gadgets for their patinas.
